Here she is !!!!!!

My amazing beautiful daughter joined the world May 1,2009 !!! She weight 7lbs even and was 19 and 3/4 inches long and looks just like her daddy !! But, she does have her mommys eyes !! I went to my 38 week appointment and told my doctor about my recurring headache for 3 weeks and my feet and hands and face were EXTREMELY swollen and my blood pressure was a little elevated so she looked at me and told me she wanted to wheel me over to labor and delivery now and get this induction started. I was just in shock but very excited. So I got to labor and delivery and they started the cytotec at 8pm and I automatically was thrown into labor. My contractions were very strong and only got stronger. They started the pitocin at 4 a.m. and that made things even worse. By 9 my doc came in to check me and I was only at 1 cm and 60% effaced so she broke my water and I got my epidural...Thank you God for the epidural lol. My legs were so numb and I automatically felt better but then...they had to start me on magnesium sulfate for my high blood pressure so I didn't have seizures during labor. It was the worst stuff I have ever experienced in my whole life. It made me feel like I had the worst case of the flu ever. All I felt like doing was puking but nothing could come up cause I hadent eaten in forever. So I sat there all day feeling worse and worse and feeling like nothing was happening. She checked me again at 3 and I was 3 cm and 80% effaced and I asked them if it would just be okay to ask for a c-section and they told me since I am making progress slowly there was no need for it yet. I was just ready to give up I felt awful and I was exhausted. Then about 6 p.m. I told them I had to push I just had to I felt so much pressure down below. My epi had been turned off an hour before to try to help me progress. Well, she checked me and I was 7 cm and she told me it was still gonna be another 2-3 hours she would guess. Then about 10 minutes later I told them it was getting worse so she checked me again and I was 8-9 cm. And she told me again she thought it would be another hour or so. 10 minutes later I begged them to check me again cause I was having way to much pressure and I had to push and I was 9.5 cm. So they started getting everything ready to push. We started pushing at 6:30 and my little angel was brought into the world at 7:01 pm. She was perfect in every way.
But, we went home sunday and things just didnt seem right. She refused to eat and when she did she spit up like crazy so we went to the pediatrician on monday and they checked her jaundice levels and they had went from 9.6 to 15.5. Then tuesday they wanted us back in to check them again and they were up to 20 so we had to go back to the hospital and be admitted for the night so she could be put under the bili lights. Well, that night she started puking up green stomach bile and I mean it was ALOT !! She the next morning the doc ordered and xray and come to find out her intestines were in the wrong place and were trying to twist and were close to cutting off blood flow. So they rushed her to Vanderbilt Childrens Hospital and she was placed in the NICU and they did her surgery the next morning. They placed her intestines back in the right place and took her appendix out because they said if she had a problem with them later on in life it would be impossible to diagnose it because of where they were. They told us the surgery would take up to 2 hours and it only took them 30 minutes. Then they said she would more than likely need to be on the ventilator to help her breath overnight and she was off of it within 15 minutes after surgery. They also said she would be swollen and she of course was not swollen at all. She is my little miracle. She is still in the hospital because they have to pull the green bile off her belly from where it sat in there for so long. Once it turns clear(which it is very close now) they are gonna take the tube out and feed her my breastmilk that I have been pumping for her. Once she eats good and starts having regular bowel movements then my baby can come home. We are thinking probably by Friday or we at least are praying by Friday she will be home. We move into our new house this weekend and I dont wanna set up her nursery without her there in it.
This has been the most challenging week of my life...And today being mothers day and me not being with my daughter but for a few hours at the hospital has just killed me. I have broke down crying so many times to count. But, we just keep praying for more miracles. God has shown how amazing he is for us lately and I am forever grateful to him for his miracles. Please keep my baby in your prayers and Happy mothers day to all you mommies out there !

cited for you that she is here and that she is such a fighter. God knows when we need his help and with all the prayers coming in for her i am sure she will be home in no time.

I cant wait to watch her grow and so her mommy can tell her what a brave little fighter she is.
